My name is Edward and when not putting fingers to keyboard on here I strive to make a difference in Financial Services and get through a reasonable amount of photography too.

As you have probably guessed from the title, I am a (justifiably) proud Mancunian and you may see this influence often in these pages. Disraeli is oft quoted as saying that Manchester is, “As great a human exploit as Athens” and I see little wrong with that assertion. To give you a little background on the moniker, Mamucium is the Roman name given to the settlement founded in 79AD that later became Manchester.

It would be remiss of me not to point out that pretty much everything you will read here has much more of a basis in opinion rather than fact. As a consequence, you may well find things here that are at best inaccurate but may well lean towards being plain wrong. Therefore you may not want to base any important decisions on the advice or heresay you find.

As I am wont to shoot my mouth off as and when the mood takes me, it really wouldn’t be Cricket if I didn’t allow the reverse. Please feel free to join in and leave your comments on your findings. Trust me, I’m a grown up and can take criticism with the best of them! However I’m not averse to a little gentle encouragement if you like what you read.
